About the Project
Project Milestones & Scope
- Identification of water leaks and in danger infrastructure through ground penetrating radar (GPR), acoustic leak detection (ALD) and general observations.
- Vacuum excavation to identify and protect infrastructure around identified areas.
- Excavation with 1.6T mini excavator or manual to ensure supporting assets remain undamaged and working.
- Repairing or replacing inground blueline water pipe using poly welding technique.
- Commissioning of repairs prior to backfill.
- Back fill of repair areas with necessary structural supports.
- Onsite traffic management as required.
- Detailed engagement with onsite services and management to plan works and limit production impacts.
- Project replaced/repaired over 200 leaks and to the team’s efforts this has been completed incident free within the high-risk environment of digging around existing underground services.
- Project value: ~$5m.
